Mark W. Lockwood is a conservation biologist with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. He is a member of the Texas Bird Records Committee and the American Birding Association’s Checklist Committee. Mark was awarded the Ludlow Grissom Award for Outstanding Contributions in Regional Ornithology from the American Birding Association in 2012. He is the author of eight books including The TOS Handbook of Texas Birds (Texas A&M Press).
