Allen T. Chartier

Allen T. Chartier has been birding in Michigan since he was eleven. He served several years on the Michigan Bird Records Committee and was a co-editor of A Birder’s Guide to Michigan. He self-published Hawks of Holiday Beach, and was a contributing author for the Complete Birds of North America, Complete Birds of the World, and Handheld Birds. He was the lead editor of The Second Michigan Breeding Bird Atlas. He lives in Inkster, Michigan with his wife Nancy. and spends much of his time educating people about the birds of Michigan, especially his favorite, the Ruby-throated Hummingbird.
